Demand patterns and vertical intra-industry trade with special reference to North-South trade [PDF]
Demand patterns have been considered important driving forces of intra-industry trade (IIT) ever since the emergence of IIT literature. The distribution of income within countries and per capita income differences between countries are regarded as major explanatory factors behind vertical IIT.

All‐Optical Reconfigurable Physical Unclonable Function for Sustainable Security
An all‐optical reconfigurable physical unclonable function (PUF) is demonstrated using plasmonic coupling–induced sintering of optically trapped gold nanoparticles, where Brownian motion serves as a robust entropy source. The resulting optical PUF exhibits high encoding density, strong resistance to modeling attacks, and practical authentication ...

Ultra‐Thin Soft Pneumatic Actuation for Minimally Invasive Neural Interfacing
Parylene C is a common polymer in bioelectronics, favored for its biological and chemical inertness. However, this makes bonding layers of Parylene C together very challenging. Here it is a laser to selectively weld layers of Parylene C to create high‐pressure fluidic actuation devices.

Ultrafast Multilevel Switching and Synaptic Behavior in a Planar Quantum Topological Memristor
Dry‐transferred Bi2Te3 layers enable a planar quantum topological memristor framework. In‐plane topological surface states facilitate ultrafast & low‐power operations. Coexisting analog and digital modes support current‐controlled multilevel states. PQTM exhibits 105 s retention, 103 cycles endurance, and reproducibility across 24 devices.

Income Disparity, Vertical Intra-industry Trade, and Welfare in Integration
AbstractThis paper constructs an intra-industry trade model with vertical product differentiation and considers a free- trade region where two countries of different income levels to investigate the welfare effects of falling trade costs. It shows that the trade patterns are affected by the income disparity of integrated countries. Moreover, this study
