An Interactive Tool to Explore and Improve the Ply Number of Drawings

open access: yes, 2017
Given a straight-line drawing $\Gamma$ of a graph $G=(V,E)$, for every vertex $v$ the ply disk $D_v$ is defined as a disk centered at $v$ where the radius of the disk is half the length of the longest edge incident to $v$.

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Numerical Investigations for Rock-Breaking Process and Cutter Layout Optimization of a PDC Drill Bit with Dual-Cutter

open access: yesBuildings
PDC (polycrystalline diamond compact) drill bits are widely employed for rock-breaking in many industries like underground engineering and building constructions. The cutter layout would directly affect the overall performance of the drill bits.

Meta‐Rod Mechanical Metamaterials With Programmable Reconfiguration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Existing mechanical metamaterials achieve programmable large deformations in planar square or cubic configurations, restricted by required complex boundary conditions. This research proposes a 1D metamaterial, Meta‐rod, with linear, bending, twisting, area, and volume deformation modes.

On the suitability and development of layout templates for analog layout reuse and layout-aware synthesis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Accelerating the synthesis of increasingly complex analog integrated circuits is key to bridge the widening gap between what we can integrate and what we can design while meeting ever-tightening time-to-market constraints.

Parallel 3D Bioprinting on SLIPS‐Microarrays

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces the first truly parallel 3D bioprinting method, enabling both the simultaneous fabrication of hundreds of cell laden hydrogel 3D structures and their HTS in individual liquid compartments. By integrating Digital Light Processing (DLP) stereolithography with functional micropatterns, the platform decouples printing time from array ...

Evaluation of daylight distribution and space visual quality at medical centers through spatial layout

open access: yesJournal of Asian Architecture and Building Engineering, 2021
This research investigates the impact of the layout of the interior spaces, as an independent variable, on the distribution of daylight factor, uniformity rate, drift magnitude, maximum radial line of sight and visual mean depth as dependent variables in

Interprétation possible des fosses à pesons. Le métier à tisser de l’habitat du second âge du Fer d’Aron (Mayenne)

open access: yesArchéopages, 2023
The Second Iron Age site of La Conillère in Aron (Mayenne) has yielded a series of structures that suggest the presence of a weaving workshop. The information gathered allows us to consider the layout of a loom at this period and to consider it as being ...
