Development and Preliminary In Vivo Study of 3D‐Printed Bioactive Glass Scaffolds with Trabecular Architecture

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study reports the fabrication of trabecular bioactive glass scaffolds (composition “1d”: 46.1SiO2‐28.7CaO‐8.8MgO‐6.2P2O5‐5.7CaF2‐4.5Na2O wt%) through vat photopolymerization and the relevant results from mechanical testing and in vivo implantation procedures in rabbit femora, showing great promise for bone tissue engineering applications.

Buoyancy Effects on Thermal Boundary Layer Over a Vertical Plate With a Convective Surface Boundary Condition [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This study aims to analyze the effects of thermal buoyancy on the laminar boundary layer about a vertical plate in a uniform stream of fluid under a convective surface boundary condition.

EFFECT OF HALL CURRENT ON MHD NATURAL CONVECTION HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER FLOW OF ROTATING FLUID PAST A VERTICAL PLATE WITH RAMPED WALL TEMPERATURE

open access: yes, 2017
A study on unsteady MHD natural convection flow of an optically thin, heat radiating, incompressible, viscous, chemically reactive, temperature dependent heat absorbing and electrically conducting fluid past an exponentially accelerated infinite vertical

Hybrid Auxetic Architectures: Integrating Curvature‐Driven Design for Enhanced Mechanical Tunability and Structural Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Curvature‐tuned auxetic lattices are designed, fabricated, and mechanically characterized to reveal how geometric curvature governs stretchability, stress redistribution, and Poisson's ratio evolution. Photoelastic experiments visualize stress pathways, while hyperelastic simulations quantify deformation mechanics.

Electro-thermal co-design of vertical β-Ga2O3 Schottky diodes with high-permittivity BaTiO3 field-plate for high-field and thermal management [PDF]

open access: yesAPL Electronic Devices
This work presents electrothermal co-design of vertical β-Ga2O3 Schottky barrier diodes (SBDs) to enhance both heat dissipation and high field management in high-power applications.

Fault slip-rate variations during crustal-scale strain localisation, central Italy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Rates of plate motion are generally uniform over 10–102 Myrs timescales. Faults between tectonic plates might, therefore, be expected to show temporally-uniform slip-rates if the same number of faults remain active. For an extending region of the Eurasia-

MHD Flow of Micropolar Fluid over an Oscillating Vertical Plate Embedded in Porous Media with Constant Temperature and Concentration

open access: yes, 2017
The present analysis represents the MHD flow of micropolar fluid past an oscillating infinite vertical plate embedded in porous media. At the plate, free convections are caused due to the differences in temperature and concentration.

Multimodal Mechanical Testing of Additively Manufactured Ti6Al4V Lattice Structures: Compression, Bending, and Fatigue

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
In this experimental study, the mechanical properties of additively manufactured Ti‐6Al‐4V lattice structures of different geometries are characterized using compression, four point bending and fatigue testing. While TPMS designs show superior fatigue resistance, SplitP and Honeycomb lattice structures combine high stiffness and strength. The resulting

Quantifying the onset of the concentric phase of the force–time record during jumping [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Thirteen college students performed a drop jump from height equal to their peak vertical jump, single leg jumps from the left and right legs, and a counter movement jump.

Unidirectional Tape‐Based Composites from Hemp and Pineapple Leaf Fiber: Mechanical Performance in Conventional and Bio‐Based Matrices

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The study investigates novel semi‐finished products made of unidirectionally arranged hemp or pineapple leaf fiber‐reinforced composites produced from different matrices. The materials are analyzed in terms of their mechanical and interfacial properties and void content.
