MHD flow past a parabolic flow past an infinite isothermal vertical plate in the presence of thermal radiation and chemical reaction

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Mechanics and Engineering, 2016
The problem of MHD free convection flow with a parabolic starting motion of an infinite isothermal vertical plate in the presence of thermal radiation and chemical reaction has been examined in detail in this paper.

Thermomechanical Fatigue and Creep–Fatigue Interaction of Inconel 718 Additively Manufactured by Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Thermomechanical fatigue tests of laser beam powder bed fusion (PBF‐LB) Inconel 718 show that the additively manufactured material reaches almost the lifetimes of conventionally‐rolled material under no‐dwell conditions. Introducing dwell times at the maximum temperature markedly reduces the lifetimes due to pronounced grain boundary sliding associated

Experimental Simulation of Natural Heat Convection from Finned Vertical Plate with Different Inclinations

open access: yesAl-Khawarizmi Engineering Journal, 2017
In this work an experimental simulation is made to predict the performance of steady-state natural heat convection along heated finned vertical base plate to ambient air with different inclination angles and configurations of fin array.

Hydraulics of natural convection flows in building walling with air gap (rus) [PDF]

open access: yesИнженерно-строительный журнал, 2011
Natural convection flow in vertical flat ducts with heated face is used to intensify the transfer in technical systems, such as ventilated gaps of facade designs.

MHD and radiation effects on moving isothermal vertical plate with variable mass diffusion [PDF]

open access: yesTheoretical and Applied Mechanics, 2006
An analysis is performed to study the effects of thermal radiation on unsteady free convective flow over a moving vertical plate with mass transfer in the presence of magnetic field. The fluid considered here is a gray, absorbing-emitting radiation but a

Air‐Pressure–Actuated Vibroacoustic Metamaterial With Tunable Bandgap: Design, Modeling, and Characterization

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents the design, modeling, and characterization of air‐pressure–actuated programmable vibroacoustic metamaterials (PVAMM). The study focuses on leveraging air pressure to dynamically tune resonance frequencies for effective noise attenuation.

Rafting of Ni‐Based Superalloys Under Multiaxial Load as Understood by Phase‐Field Simulations and Critical Experiments

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Phase‐field simulations coupled with dislocation‐density‐based crystal plasticity modeling reproduce γ′ rafting behavior in single‐crystal Ni‐based superalloys under varied loading conditions. The model captures both macroscopic creep and microscopic morphology evolution, with results matching high‐temperature creep experiments.

Relationships between the parameters of aboveground parts and the parameters of root plates in Norway spruce with respect to soil drainage

open access: yesJournal of Forest Science, 2010
The aboveground parameters and the parameters of root plates in uprooted Norway spruce trees (Picea abies [L.] Karst.) were measured in the Hnile Blata locality (the High Tatras Mts.) (waterlogged sites) and in the Zemska locality (Low Tatras Mts.) (well-
