Traveling wave packets of total electron content disturbances as deduced from global GPS network data

open access: yes, 2002
We identified a new class of mid-latitude medium-scale traveling ionospheric disturbances (MS TIDs), viz. traveling wave packets (TWPs) of total electron content (TEC) disturbances.

GPS radio occultation with GRACE: Atmospheric profiling utilizing the zero difference technique

open access: yes, 2004
Radio occultation events recorded on 28-29 July 2004 by a GPS receiver aboard the GRACE-B satellite are analyzed. The stability of the receiver clock allows for the derivation of excess phase profiles using a zero difference technique, rendering the ...

Investigation of Halogen Substitution Effects in π‐Conjugated Organic Ligands of Chiral Hybrid Perovskites on Their Chiroptical Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The role of novel thiophene‐based ligands with halogen substitutions in enhancing the chiroptical and optoelectronic properties of 2D chiral HOIPs has been investigated. By tailoring ligand design, enhanced CD and CPL properties are achieved, with improved CPL discrimination in photodetectors.

Monitoring of the Earth’s ionosphere by a small satellite constellation

open access: yesВестник Самарского университета: Аэрокосмическая техника, технологии и машиностроение, 2016
Existing radar aids for the research of the ionosphere and ionosondes allow only local diagnostics of the ionosphere. Creating a network of traditional tools of radio sounding of ionosphere is quite difficult and expensive.

Atomic Layer Deposition in Transistors and Monolithic 3D Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Transistors are fundamental building blocks of modern electronics. This review summarizes recent progress in atomic layer deposition (ALD) for the synthesis of two‐dimensional (2D) metal oxides and transition‐metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs), with particular emphasis on their enabling role in monolithic three‐dimensional (M3D) integration for next ...

Revealing the Hidden Role of Cd in p‐Type Mg3Sb2: Enhanced Thermoelectric Performance by Grain Boundary Segregation Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The hidden role of Cd segregation at grain boundaries is revealed in p‐type Mg3Sb2 by atom probe tomography and other advanced characterizations. Grain boundary Cd enrichment suppresses the SbMg+ hole‐killer formation and lowers potential barriers, enhancing electrical conductivity.
