Effect of Basketweave Microstructure on Very High Cycle Fatigue Behavior of TC21 Titanium Alloy
This paper discusses the effect of basketweave microstructure on the very high cycle fatigue behavior of TC21 titanium alloy. Ultrasonic fatigue tests at 20 kHz are done on a very high cycle fatigue (VHCF) property of the alloys with 60 μm and 40 &mu ...

Collagen hydrolysate is evaluated as a sustainable binder for MgO‐C refractories. Its thermally induced cross‐linking and gas release lead to expansion and cracking in large bricks, but tailored batches with lignin, recyclates, or fine graphite improve the gas release while thermal treatment and stability.

Mechanical properties of several nickel alloys in hydrogen at elevated temperatures [PDF]
Tests were performed to determine low cycle fatigue and crack growth rate properties of one iron-base and two forms of one cast nickel-base alloy. The alloys were tested in various forms and/or heat-treat conditions that are proposed for use in a high ...

Cermets (60 vol.% AISI 316L stainless steel, 40 vol.% recycled MgO), intended for use in aluminum electrolysis, were pre‐oxidized in three furnaces with different heating technologies and subjected to a cryolite corrosion test. The different atmospheres influenced the formation of oxide layers, which in turn affected corrosion resistance and ...
