Evaluation of macular and optic nerve head changes by optical coherence tomography angiography in glaucomatous eyes

open access: yesJournal of the Egyptian Ophthalmological Society
Background Optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) is introduced as a safe, noninvasive, and dye-free technology that provides an assessment of both large vessels and microvasculature of the retina and some parts of the choriocapillaris ...

Adaptive 4D‐Printed Vascular Stents With Low‐Temperature‐Activated and Intelligent Deployment

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Microarchitected coronary artery stents were fabricated using a polycaprolactone (PCL)‐based shape memory polymer (SMP) composite via projection micro‐stereolithography (PµSL) 4D printing. By incorporating diethyl phthalate (DEP) as a plasticizer, the thermal transition temperature (Ttran) was modulated to about 37°C, enabling rapid and autonomous ...

Correlation between lymphatic vessel density and microvessel density in cutaneous malignant melanoma.

open access: yesRomanian journal of morphology and embryology = Revue roumaine de morphologie et embryologie, 2015
Malignant melanoma is an aggressive neoplasm, known for its propensity to early metastatic spread, via lymphatic as well as blood vessels. Tumor progression to an aggressive phenotype is associated with angiogenesis. Tumor lymphangiogenesis may represent a marker for assessing the risk of metastasis in the regional lymph nodes. We studied the lymphatic ...

Silver Ion‐Mediated [hk1]‐Oriented Sb2Se3 Crystal Growth for Efficient Photoelectrochemical Hydrogen Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ag+‐mediated hydrothermal crystal engineering promotes preferential [hk1]‐oriented growth of Sb2Se3 via an ultrathin MoOx interlayer, improving crystallinity and suppressing non‐radiative recombination. The optimized Ag+ treatment photocathode delivers 24.7 mA cm−2 at 0 VRHE and improved stability, revealing an ion‐modulated route to high‐performance ...

Vessel Traffic Density Prediction: A Federated Learning Approach

open access: yesISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information
Maritime safety, environmental protection and efficient traffic management increasingly rely on data-driven technologies. However, leveraging Automatic Identification System (AIS) data for predictive modelling faces two major challenges: the massive volume of data generated in real-time and growing privacy concerns associated with proprietary vessel ...

Cardiac‐Derived ECM Microspheres for Enhanced hiPSC‐CMs Maturation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Cardiac extracellular matrix microspheres derived from decellularized porcine heart provide a biomimetic 3D microenvironment for human induced pluripotent stem cell–derived cardiomyocytes (hiPSC‐CMs). This platform supports short‐ and long‐term culture, enhances structural organization, and promotes electrophysiological and functional maturation of ...

Tin‐Oxo Nanocluster Extreme UV Photoresists Equipped with Chemical Features for Atmospheric Stability and High EUV Sensitivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fluoroalkyl‐functionalized tin–oxo nanoclusters (N‐TOC6) enable robust pattern formation through ligand crosslinking under EUV exposure without thermal processing. Sn–F coordination mitigates the Lewis acidity of Sn centers, suppressing reactions with airborne molecules and improving post‐exposure pattern stability.

An Ultrafast Self‐Gelling Versatile Hydrogel for Rapid Infected Burn Wound Repair in Military Medicine

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A self‐gelling PG@PAC (POD/Gel‐CDH@PA/CHX) powder is developed for infected burn care in austere settings. Upon contact with wound exudate, it instantly forms an adhesive hydrogel, providing simultaneous hemostasis, broad‐spectrum antibacterial activity, reactive oxygen species scavenging, and immunomodulation. In a murine model of S.
