Retinal Vasculature Fractal Dimension Measures Vessel Density
The goal of this study was to provide the empirical evidence of fractal dimension as an indirect measure of retinal vasculature density. Two hundred retinal samples of right eye [57.0% females (n = 114) and 43.0% males (n = 86)] were selected from baseline visit. A custom-written software was used for vessel segmentation.

Optical Coherence Tomography Angiography Vessel Density in Healthy, Glaucoma Suspect, and Glaucoma EyesOCT Angiography Vessel Density in Glaucoma [PDF]
PurposeThe purpose of this study was to compare retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness and optical coherence tomography angiography (OCT-A) retinal vasculature measurements in healthy, glaucoma suspect, and glaucoma patients.MethodsTwo hundred sixty-one eyes of 164 healthy, glaucoma suspect, and open-angle glaucoma (OAG) participants from the ...

Diurnal Variation of Retinal Vessel Density in Healthy Human Eyes
Precis: A small increase in optic nerve head vessel density (VD), but not macular VD, in the evening compared with the morning is observed in healthy subjects. Purpose: To evaluate the diurnal variation of the macular and optic nerve head (ONH) VD in healthy eyes as measured with ...

Vascular impairments, including compromised flow regulation, have been identified as significant contributors to glaucomatous disease. Recent studies have shown glaucoma patients with significantly reduced peripapillary, macular, and optic nerve head vessel densities occurring with early glaucomatous structural changes prior to detectable visual field ...

Macular vessel density in patients with refractory diabetic macular edema in different stages of nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy [PDF]
Background: Macular vessel density can play a significant role in the prognosis of diabetic macular edema (DME). The aims of this study were to investigate macular vessel density using optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) in patients with ...
