Evolutionary Dynamics and Policy Coordination in the Vehicle–Grid Interaction Market: A Tripartite Evolutionary Game Analysis

open access: yesMathematics
This study introduces a novel tripartite evolutionary game model to analyze the strategic interactions among electric vehicle (EV) aggregators, local governments, and EV users in vehicle–grid interaction (VGI) markets.

Hybrid Photoelectrodes Based on Electropolymerized Conjugated Porous Polymers for Enhanced Solar Energy Conversion

open access: yesSmall Science, Volume 5, Issue 6, June 2025.
This study investigates electropolymerized organic polymers and hybrids for solar energy conversion. The hybrids demonstrate enhanced photocurrents and charge transfers. The associated mechanisms are explored by advanced spectroscopies, highlighting the superior performance of the hybrids in general and CPP‐3TB in particular.

Photon pair generation using four-wave mixing in a microstructured fibre: theory versus experiment

open access: yes, 2006
We develop a theoretical analysis of four-wave mixing used to generate photon pairs useful for quantum information processing. The analysis applies to a single mode microstructured fibre pumped by an ultra-short coherent pulse in the normal dispersion ...

The potentials of vehicle-grid integration on peak shaving of a community considering random behavior of aggregated vehicles

open access: yesNext Energy
With large-scale electric vehicles (EVs) promoted and connected to the power grid, the uncontrolled charging of EVs enlarges the peak-valley range of load in the distribution grid.

Frequent Prescribed Burning Contributes to the Sequestration of Soil Carbon in South African Mesic Rangeland Systems

open access: yesAfrican Journal of Ecology, Volume 63, Issue 4, June 2025.
ABSTRACT Historically, subsistence pastoralists and ranchers have used fire as a management tool in grassy rangelands for millennia. The capacity of these ecosystems to function as carbon sinks depends heavily on management interventions. Understanding optimal fire return intervals is essential for determining how prescribed burning influences long ...

Monocular Navigation in Large Scale Dynamic Environments

open access: yes, 2017
We present a processing technique for a robust reconstruction of motion properties for single points in large scale, dynamic environments. We assume that the acquisition camera is moving and that there are other independently moving agents in a large ...

Exploring the zoonotic potential of Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis through comparative genomics.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2011
A comparative genomics approach was utilised to compare the genomes of Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis (MAP) isolated from early onset paediatric Crohn's disease (CD) patients as well as Johne's diseased animals.

Epidemiology of Candidemia, Candiduria and Emerging Candidozyma (Candida) auris Across Gulf Cooperative Council Countries and Yemen in the Arabian Peninsula

open access: yesMycoses, Volume 68, Issue 6, June 2025.
ABSTRACT Candida infections represent a major component of invasive and non‐invasive mycoses globally, including the countries in the Arabian Peninsula. In this review, we present epidemiological features and trends, clinical manifestations, species distribution, antifungal susceptibility, and outcomes available for candidemia and candiduria in six ...

Cone Beam CT Sialography for the Assessment of Submandibular Gland Structure in Diabetes Mellitus

open access: yesOral Diseases, Volume 31, Issue 6, Page 1890-1899, June 2025.
ABSTRACT Objective To examine the anatomical and morphological structure and potential pathological conditions of the submandibular gland by performing Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) sialography in patients with diabetes mellitus. Study Design The submandibular salivary glands of 25 diabetic and 25 healthy volunteers were examined by CBCT ...
