Analog Filter Synthesis from VHDL-AMS

2002
An analog synthesis technique for VHDL-AMS behavioral descriptions of very high-frequency filters is described. The technique is based on automatic netlist extraction from VHDL-AMS parse trees. The primary application of this work is automated synthesis of high-frequency filter blocks in analog or mixed-signal ASIC designs.

Compact Modeling of Emerging Technologies with VHDL-AMS

2007
This paper deals with the compact modeling of several emerging technologies: first, the double-gate MOSFET (DG MOSFET), and second, the carbon nanotube field-effect transistor (CNTFET). For CNTFETs, we propose two compact models, the first one with a classical behavior (like MOSFET), and the second one with an ambipolar behavior (Schottky-barrier ...

DC DC converter modelling with VHDL-AMS

IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology, 2003, 2004
Developing electro-thermal models using VHDL-AMS is a new approach to solve problems that were found in the development of different systems. One of these systems can be a DC DC converter, which is the one that has been studied and presented now.

Mixed Nets, Conversion Models, and VHDL-AMS

2006
AMS hardware description languages like VHDL-AMS provide features for modeling at discrete and continuous domains of abstraction and communicat- ing between them. A mixed net arises in mixed-signal design as the result of interconnecting components modeled in different domains, in particular when connecting a discrete and a continuous port.

A VHDL-AMS based spiking neuron model

2009 International Symposium on Signals, Circuits and Systems, 2009
Nowadays trends in the electronic system design look beyond the conventional computing architectures towards biologically inspired solutions to find new circuit ideas to advance the computational power of the future computational structures. The present paper introduces a VHDL-AMS based spiking neuron model, which exhibits realistic behavior.
