We define viability tubes and invarlant tubes of a differential inclusion, we study some asymptotic properties and we characterize them by showing that the indicator functions of their graphs are solutions to the contingent Hamilton-Jacobi equation. We provide some examples of viability tubes.

Methods for Measuring Viability and Evaluating Viability Indicators
Artificial Life, 2018Life and other dissipative structures involve nonlinear dynamics that are not amenable to conventional analysis. Advances are being made in theory, modeling, and simulation techniques, but we do not have general principles for designing, controlling, stabilizing, or eliminating these systems.

In its strictest sense a viable protoplast is one capable of regeneration into a plant, a capacity that has been demonstrated for few species and, with a few exceptions, for none in the conifers and monocotyledonous plants. In such cases where whole plant regeneration is potentially possible, there is no single parameter of viability, or collection of ...

Fluorescent Viability Stains Overestimate Chondrocyte Viability in Osteoarticular Allografts
The American Journal of Sports Medicine, 2007Background Allografts from many tissue banks are carefully processed and stored with the goal of preserving chondrocyte viability. However, the importance of living chondrocytes for graft stability is unclear, in part because actual viabilities of individual allografts at the time of placement are seldom known. Hypotheses Cell yields from allograft and

Myocardial Ischemia & Viability
2012The increasing use of thrombolytic therapy and primary percutaneous coronary interventions in association with optimized anti-thrombotic therapy has contributed to significantly reducing short-term mortality and morbidity in patients with acute coronary syndromes. The change of the epidemiology of myocardial infarction over the past 2 decades is due to
