Cutaneous Responses to Endothelin-1 and Histamine in Patients with Vibration White Finger
Vibration white finger (VWF) is the episodic blanching of the fingers that occurs in response to cold in those who work with hand-held vibrating tools. Clinically the condition differs from primary Raynaud's phenomenon as persistent pain and paresthesia ...

Advanced Dental Composite Technology via Bisilanized Dual‐Action Nanofillers for Biofilm Control
A multimodal research strategy has led to the development of an innovative resin‐based composite (RBC) with dual antibacterial action. The S_CM‐RBC formula showed strong antibiofilm activity, excellent mechanical strength, and biosafety. It effectively controlled oral bacteria in prevention of caries recurrence, and maintained pulp health in a rat ...

Raynaud's phenomenon, vibration-induced white finger, and difficulties in hearing
Background: An association has previously been reported between finger blanching and hearing difficulties, but only in workers with exposure to noise and hand transmitted vibration (HTV).Aims: To explore the association in a community sample, including ...

Pathological changes observed in the finger biopsy of patients with vibration-induced white finger.
Lesion biopsies of 60 fingers from 30 patients with vibration-induced white finger (VWF) and control observations from seven fingers of five referents demonstrated three main characteristic pathological changes. First, in each case, the muscular layers of the arteries revealed intense thickening with strong hypertrophy of individual muscle cells ...
