Vibration characteristics of steering columns with bellows

The results of ambient vibration survey of Aureliana Column in Rome are shown. The objective of this analysis was the characterization of the dynamic behavior of the monument and the comparison with the results obtained with similar studies about 30 years ago, but with older instruments and data analysis methods.

Response of a Column in Random Vibration Tests

Vibration of column-supported floor slabs

Parametrically Induced Vibration in Concrete Columns

A mathematical model is developed for simply supported plain concrete columns, accounting for their nonlinear material characteristic. The axial and transverse motions of concrete columns are found to be secnd- and fourth-order nonlinear partial differential equations, respectively.
