Orientation Engineering in Flexible Ag2Se‐Based Thermoelectric Films

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We comprehensively review recent advances in highly oriented Ag2Se films. We propose two practical metrics to quantitatively benchmark their application potential and establish a unified framework that elucidates the orientation‐dependent charge transport mechanism in Ag2Se‐based films.

Loss of SHP1 in Spinal Astrocytes Triggers T‐Lymphocyte Infiltration and Nociceptive Hypersensitivity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Astrocyte‐specific SHP1 deletion disrupts astrocyte–vascular interactions and compromises BBB integrity while enhancing STAT1‐dependent CXCL10 expression. These changes synergistically promote peripheral CD4+ and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration into the SDH. The infiltrating T cells secrete IFN‐γ, which in turn activates microglia.

Mitigation of Wind-Induced Vibration with Liquid Column Vibration Absorber

Advances in Science and Technology, 2008
Increasing heights of tall buildings often require supplementary damping system for occupant comfort in windy condition. This paper presents a liquid column vibration absorber (LCVA) installed in a 64-story building, which is the highest residential building with flat plate structural system in Korea, for mitigation of wind-induced motion.
