Vibrational feeders with vibro-impact adaptive drive [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2019
The object of research is vibrational feeders with vibro-impact adaptive drive, the characteristic feature of which is the multifrequency excitation and self-adjusting of the oscillations parameters, including the frequency spectrum, to change the mass ...

Analysis of Forces in Vibro-Impact and Hot Vibro-Impact Turning of Advanced Alloys [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Mechanics and Materials, 2011
Analysis of the cutting process in machining of advanced alloys, which are typically difficult-to-machine materials, is a challenge that needs to be addressed. In a machining operation, cutting forces causes severe deformations in the proximity of the cutting edge, producing high stresses, strain, strain-rates and temperatures in the workpiece that ...

Vibro-impact dynamics of an experimental rig with two-sided constraint and bidirectional drift

open access: yesJournal of Sound and Vibration, 2023
This paper demonstrates a theoretical and experimental study on a universal vibro-impact system with bidirectional drift. With a dedicated experimental rig that is able to verify numerical simulations, the system has revealed various bifurcations from a ...

Vibro-impact in rolling contact [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Sound and Vibration, 2007
Irregular wavy residual damages (troppy phenomenon) occur in the contact area in rolling friction as the result of a non-stationary process of cyclic deformation. They initiate vibro-impact loading of an active system. The results of experimental study of these damages are given. Theoretical model satisfactory describing troppy phenomenon is developed.

On stiffness and damping of vibro-impact dynamics of backlash [PDF]

open access: yes2021 IEEE 30th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE), 2021
We consider the stiffness and damping properties of the vibro-impact in a backlash pair. Opposed to the existing and mostly used models of the backlash, we address the problem of contact and separation, and the associated force propagation within a mechanical pair, from a viewpoint of vibroimpact dynamics.

Pipe vibration attenuation through internal damping and optimal design of vibro-impact systems. [PDF]

open access: yesSci Rep, 2023
Pipelines periodically supported by rack structures (PPRs) are common in chemical and petrochemical plants, among others, and conventional tools such as dampers and hysteretic absorbers are commonly used to mitigate large vibrations in these systems.

Energy Maximisation and Power Management for a Wave-to-Wire Model of a Vibro-Impact Wave Energy Converter Array

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
This paper develops a wave-to-wire model of a vibro-impact wave energy converter array for stand-alone offshore applications. Nonlinear model predictive control is proposed for maximising the wave power capture of the array, and implemented by AC/DC ...

Response analysis of the vibro-impact system under fractional-order joint random excitation

open access: yesJournal of Low Frequency Noise, Vibration and Active Control
As a kind of good damping material, viscoelastic material is widely used in machinery, civil engineering, and other fields. In this paper, the viscoelasticity of the system is described by fractional differentiation.

Substantiation of parametres of springs vibro tines

open access: yesАграрная наука Евро-Северо-Востока, 2017
The most energy-intensive operation in cultivation of agricultural crops is a soil treatment, which spent up to 40% energy. Among the system of measures to reduce the energy intensity of tillers most important is the use of vibration of working bodies ...

An Evaluation of Treatment Effectiveness for Reclaimed Coral Sand Foundation in the South China Sea

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering, 2023
Mega land reclamation projects have been carried out on the coral reefs in the South China Sea. Coral sand was used as a backfill material through hydraulic filling, with fill heights ranging from 6 to 10 m.
