Veterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 3, May 2026.Based on the present systematic review and meta‑analysis, the pooled prevalence of N. caninum in camelids was 10% (95% CI: 7%–12%) with significant heterogeneity (I2 = 93.75%, p < 0.0001). The highest rate was detected in Old World camelids, 14% (95% CI: 10%–19%), indicating that this group is more susceptible to N. caninum exposure.
