Vidarabine

2000
Abstract conventional doses of short-term vidarabine therapy are few and minor; they include rash, inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion, leukopenia, and thrombocytopenia (7). Neurotoxicity has been consistently associated with high dose, long-term vidarabine therapy; coadministration of interferon may enhance the nervous ...

Vidarabine-Loaded Nanoparticles: A Physicochemical Study

Pharmaceutical Research, 1990
The chemical reaction of vidarabine (VIDA) with isohexyl cyanoacrylate nanoparticles in a pH-dependent fashion occurs only in the presence of dioctylsulfosuccinate (DOSS). The formation of an ion pair with DOSS allows a better contact of VIDA with the monomer during the polymerization process taking place in micelles.
