Video Object Segmentation and Tracking
Object segmentation and object tracking are fundamental research areas in the computer vision community. These two topics are difficult to handle some common challenges, such as occlusion, deformation, motion blur, scale variation, and more. The former contains heterogeneous object, interacting object, edge ambiguity, and shape complexity; the latter ...

Player Tracking in Sports Videos [PDF]
This paper considers the problem of tracking the players in handball videos using a single video source. Tracking of handball players in the video is a difficult task as they can frequently leave and re-enter the camera field of view, often change directions quickly and occlude each other.

3D‐Printed Giant Magnetoresistive (GMR) Sensors Based on Self Compliant Springs
This work explores 3D‐printed GMR sensors utilizing self‐compliant spring structures and conductive PLA composites. By optimizing arm width, we achieved high piezoresistive (0.34%/mm) and magnetoresistive (0.77%/mT) sensitivities. Demonstrated through Bluetooth‐integrated pressure and magnetic position sensing, these full printed low‐cost, customizable

This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

The study presents biodegradable and recyclable mixed‐matrix membranes (MMMs), hydrogels, and cryogels using luminescent nanoscale metal‐organic frameworks (nMOFs) and biopolymers. These bio‐nMOF‐MMMs combine europium‐based nMOFs as probes for the status of the materials with the biopolymers agar and gelatine and present alternatives to conventional ...

Correlation Filter With Motion Detection for Robust Tracking of Shape-Deformed Targets
Target tracking is an important area of research in computer vision where stable target's tracking has been well solved. But in real world, it is difficult to ensure that the camera or lens could be fixed and the target could maintain its shape in whole ...

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Shadow-resistant tracking in video [PDF]
In this paper, we present a new method for tracking objects with shadows. Traditional motion-based tracking schemes cannot usually distinguish the shadow from the object itself, and this results in a falsely captured object shape, posing a severe difficulty for a pattern recognition task.
