This paper shows that deeper sections reveal additional STICs and HGSCs in risk‐reducing salpingo‐oophorectomy specimens of patients who did not have a STIC or HGSC diagnosis but did develop peritoneal HGSC 10 years after surgery. This adds to the premise that HGSC originates in the fallopian tube.

Natal dispersal is a key ecological process influencing gene flow, population connectivity and individual fitness. In altricial birds, the transition from fledging to natal dispersal is mediated by the post‐fledging dependence period, which is often difficult to observe in elusive, forest‐dwelling species.

Here, we used a unique 37‐year (1969–2006) freshwater macroinvertebrate time‐series, collected over seven sites in central Germany, to study biodiversity patterns and species accumulation over time. Accumulation curves of Diptera diversity have not reached a plateau in 37 years of sampling.
