Evaluation of the efficiency of the polystyrene cone and geotextile fabric for the protection of the vine against late spring frosts in Québec for small exploitations and tree plantations

open access: yesOENO One, 1999
Based on temperature measurements recorded within the aerial portions of the Vitis vinifera L. var. Melon vine variety during spring frosts, it was possible to evaluate the efficiency of two methods of phytoprotection : the polystyrene cone and geotextil~

Expanded Farm Safety Net Payments Under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) strengthens the agricultural risk coverage (ARC) and price loss coverage (PLC) programs by aligning program parameters more closely with recent market dynamics and allows for an expansion in program acres. This study projects the increases in ARC‐County and PLC payments for corn, soybeans, and wheat under

Les acides gras des organes oppositifoliés de Vitis vinifera L. var. ugni blanc

open access: yesOENO One, 1975
On sait que les organes oppositifoliés de la Vigne, vrilles et inflorescences, sont assimilés à des rameaux modifiés. Diverses considérations, notamment l'étude des formes de transition entre ces organes, apportent des arguments en faveur de cette ...

Pre‐Curved Everting Robots With Embedded Steering Intelligence Fabricated by CO2 Laser Welding

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Design and experimental demonstration of a laser welded growing robot for anatomically guided navigation. The robot follows an aortic arch phantom entering the branchiocephalic branch through steering by design. The figure shows the physical phantom setup, CAD defined weld geometry and full robot eversion.

Digital Twins for the Design, Interactive Control, and Deployment of Modular, Fiber‐Reinforced Soft Continuum Arms

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A digital twin framework is presented for modular soft continuum arms built from fiber‐reinforced pneumatic actuators. Cosserat rod models describe individual actuators, while virtual assemblies are formed through serial and parallel networks, preserving actuator‐level architecture and arm deformation.

Climate change and perennial crop production: Evidence of yield impact and adaptation in California

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Agricultural Economics, EarlyView.
Abstract Perennial crops are economically important. They contribute to food security, providing essential nutrients that are often lacking in annual crops, and provide additional environmental benefits compared with annual crops. Despite their importance, empirical research on the impacts of climate change and adaptation on perennial crops remains ...
