Synthesis of Aromatic Vinyl Compounds
Journal of the Fuel Society of Japan, 1956 石油分解ガス中のプロピレン, ブチレンを利用する目的を以て, これらをベンゼン, トルエンと反応させて各種のp-アルキルベンゼンを得たが, さらにこれらを酸化する場合に副産物としてアセトフェノン誘導体並びにp-ジアセチルベンゼンが得られる。本報ではこれらのケトン化合物を有機合成的に製し, さらに還元して得られたカルビノール化合物をアルミナまたは酸性硫酸カリを用いて減圧下で脱水し, それに相当するスタイレン類を合成し, その構造を赤外線スペクトル並びに臭化物の形として確認した。

Vinyl Polymerization by Organolithium Compounds
The Journal of the Society of Chemical Industry, Japan, 1960 アルキルまたはアリールリチウムは極性ビニル単量体に対しては反応が激しすぎてあまり有効な重合触媒ではないが,著者らは低温で行なうことにより,また,これらの有機リチウム化合物とトリエチルアルミニウムのat-コンプレックスを用いることにより,メタクリル酸メチル,アクリロニトリル,スチレンなどを適度の速度で重合させることができた。スチレンとメタクリル酸メチルの共重合反応よりこれらはいずれも陰イオン重合であることが明らかになった。また,これらの重合において酸素およびキノン類,フェノール類が重合を抑制する作用をもつことが認められた。次にn-ブチルリチウムによるスチレンの重合の動力学の研究を行ない,TobolskyやWelchなどの報告と比較検討した。また上記の有機リチウム化合物により,低温(-60 ...
