Comparing Strategies for Search Space Boundaries Violation in PSO
2017In this paper, we choose to compare four methods for controlling particle position when it violates the search space boundaries and the impact on the performance of Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm (PSO). The methods are: hard borders, soft borders, random position and spherical universe. The goal is to compare the performance of these methods for

The origin of space group violations in a lunar orthopyroxene
Physics and Chemistry of Minerals, 1990The space group of an orthopyroxene (En86) from a deep crustal lunar rock (sample 76535) that was previously reported as having space group P21ca has been re-examined on an automated X-ray diffractometer. In addition to diffractions violating the b-glide of the conventional space group, Pbca (0kl,k-odd) reported in the earlier study, diffractions ...

Eye Contact, Sex, and the Violation of Personal Space
The Journal of Social Psychology, 1977Summary In a public elevator in a downtown office building three experiments examined relationships among varying degrees of eye contact, sex of participants, and violations of personal space. The first experiment forced Ss (86 males and 61 females) to violate the personal space of two male or two female confederates (Cs) who were either directing ...

TOWARD A THEORY OF PERSONAL SPACE EXPECTATIONS AND THEIR VIOLATIONS
Human Communication Research, 1976Proxemics literature is synthesized and placed in a theoretical framework based on norms and expectations. Two major and three subordinate propositions are supported, and a model for predicting effects of violations of proxemic expectations is advanced. A sample of hypotheses generated from the model is included.

Violation of a Spacing Norm in High Social Density
Journal of Applied Social Psychology, 1980A field experiment investigated violation of the spacing norm which keeps distance between people in a particular type of crowding, high social density, when the number of people in an area is large but space is not necessarily restricted. The proportion of people passing a drinking fountain who drank from the fountain was observed in conditions of ...

Causality violation in spatially closed space-times
General Relativity and Gravitation, 1983Some results are obtained which establish conditions under which causality violation cannot occur in space-times admitting a compact, but not necessarily acausal, spacelike hypersurface. For example, it is shown that causality violation can occur in a space-time admitting a compact spacelike slice and obeying fairly reasonable energy conditions only if
