Hydrogen sulfide blocks HIV rebound by maintaining mitochondrial bioenergetics and redox homeostasis
A fundamental challenge in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) eradication is to understand how the virus establishes latency, maintains stable cellular reservoirs, and promotes rebound upon interruption of antiretroviral therapy (ART).

Relationship between latent and rebound viruses in a clinical trial of anti-HIV-1 antibody 3BNC117. [PDF]
A clinical trial was performed to evaluate 3BNC117, a potent anti-HIV-1 antibody, in infected individuals during suppressive antiretroviral therapy and subsequent analytical treatment interruption (ATI).

Bacterial α‐diversity decreases, but stochasticity and community stability increase across the 15 m‐depth vertical profiles and along the degraded gradient within the active layer. The abundance and interaction of core taxa mainly control community stability in the active and permafrost layers, respectively.

Background: Antiretroviral regimens containing a second-generation integrase strand-transfer inhibitor (INSTI) plus 2 nucleos(t)ide reverse-transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs) are the recommended therapy for people with HIV (PWH) who are antiretroviral ...

Lipid overload suppresses SREBF2‐mediated FNTB expression, leading to defective Lamin A maturation and nuclear envelope instability. This nuclear catastrophe triggers a pro‐fibrotic senescence program in cardiomyocytes. Notably, restoring nuclear integrity via AAV9‐based gene therapy effectively attenuates cardiac remodeling, identifying the ...

Low-Level HIV-I Replication and the Dynamics of the Resting CD4(+) T Cell Reservoir for HIV-I in the Setting of HAART [PDF]
In the setting of highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART), plasma levels of human immunodeficiency type-I (HIV-I) rapidly decay to below the limit of detection of standard clinical assays.
