A Human Kidney Tubuloid Model of Repeated Cisplatin‐Induced Cellular Senescence and Fibrosis for Drug Screening

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Replicating aging and senescence‐related pathophysiological responses in kidney organoids remains a significant challenge. Human adult renal tubular organoid, tubuloids, are successfully developed recapitulating cellular senescence that is the central pathophysiological mechanism of chronic kidney disease (CKD).

Seroprevalence of binding and neutralizing antibodies against 18 adeno-associated virus types in patients with neuromuscular disorders

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
High levels of pre-existing antibodies are a major challenge for the application of viral vectors since they can severely limit their efficacy. To identify promising candidates among adeno-associated virus (AAV) based vectors for future gene therapies ...

3D Printing of Bacteriophage‐Loaded Hydrogels: Development of a Local and Long‐Lasting Delivery System

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This research investigates the feasibility of 3D‐printing of a bacteriophage‐containing hydrogel made of alginate and methylcellulose. The printed hydrogels steadily release active bacteriophages for up to 35 days which is beneficial to treat implant‐associated infections.
