Uso de sistemas basados en escáner 3D para digitalización y estudio del patrimonio arqueológico

open access: yesVirtual Archaeology Review, 2010
3D scanners are becoming useful tools in many fields like civil engineering, heritage restoration or archaeology. Speed, accuracy and security are several key features of these systems. The data generated by a 3D scanner can be used in many ways: since a

Transcription Factor Promiscuity Drives Regulatory Rewiring and Evolvability in Gene Networks in Bacteria

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
When a master transcription factor (TF) is lost, bacteria can rapidly rewire gene regulatory networks by co‐opting related regulators. Using experimental evolution in Pseudomonas fluorescens, we show that TF promiscuity (low‐level, non‐cognate binding) provides the raw material for rewiring. Successful co‐option follows a predictable hierarchy governed

Dynamic virtual network restoration with optimal standby virtual router selection [PDF]

open access: yesNOMS 2016 - 2016 IEEE/IFIP Network Operations and Management Symposium, 2016
Fault-tolerance in a virtualized networking environment (VNE) requires additional efforts to provide the survivability against failures on either virtual networks (VNs) or the underlying substrate network. In this dissertation, we design a software-defined resilient VNE using a hybrid scheme of protection and restoration, where for each VN, a set of ...

Full‐Body AI Agent: A Perspective on Multi‐Scale Collaborative AI for Systemic Biology and Precision Medicine

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We propose the Full‐Body AI Agent, a multi‐scale collaborative framework with 7 biological‐layer agents. It unifies multi‐omics/clinical data via standardized protocols, enabling phenotype‐guided closed‐loop reasoning, quantitative evaluation, and LLM safeguards, with promising applications in tumor metastasis modeling and precision drug development ...

Pharmacologic Modulation of ARID3A with Rimegepant Reactivates Type I Interferon Signaling and Sensitizes Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer to PD‐1 Blockade

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies ARID3A as a key immunosuppressive transcription factor in TNBC. Its inhibition activates the type I IFN pathway, boosting CD8+ T cell infiltration and sensitizing tumors to anti‐PD‐1. The FDA‐approved migraine drug Rimegepant targets ARID3A, enhances immunotherapy efficacy in preclinical models, and establishes a druggable axis to

Physics‐Embedded Neural Network: A Novel Approach to Design Polymeric Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Traditional black‐box models for polymer mechanics rely solely on data and lack physical interpretability. This work presents a physics‐embedded neural network (PENN) that integrates constitutive equations into machine learning. The approach ensures reliable stress predictions, provides interpretable parameters, and enables performance‐driven, inverse ...

Reinnervation of Muscle Targets Enhances the Separability of Motor Unit Signals Following Peripheral Nerve Transfers

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Injured or cut peripheral nerves can be surgically rerouted to reinnervate new muscle targets. This study demonstrates reinnervated muscles exhibit enhanced separability between individual motor unit signals, which can simplify signal recording and decomposition. These findings highlight the potential of reinnervated muscle to serve as a key biological

Intelligent Recognition and Restoration of Mural Damage Based on DeepLabv3 and Stable Diffusion

open access: yesBuildings
Murals are not merely independent visual artworks. Rather, they are an integral part of architectural heritage, directly attached to buildings’ structural elements, such as brick walls and vaults.
