This study develops the hydrogel with antimicrobial, adhesive, degradable, injectable, and temperature‐sensitive contraction properties based on the transcriptomic and pathological characteristics of intestinal fistula patients. This hydrogel can seal rabbit intestinal fistula in situ, reduce the intestinal defect, and promote intestinal epithelial ...

Human Coronavirus Virulence Motifs and Virulence
We have shown that SARS-CoV E protein is a virulence factor that includes at least two virulence motifs: its ion channel (IC) activity encoded within the transmembrane domain and a PDZ binding motif (PBM) located at its carboxy-terminus. We showed that E protein pathogenicity was caused by the activation of different host signaling pathways.

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is one of the most frequent causes of hospital- and community-associated infections. Resistance to the entire class of β-lactam antibiotics, such as methicillin and penicillin, makes MRSA infections difficult to treat.

Comparison of the pathogenicity of multiple SARS‐CoV‐2 variants in mouse models
We assessed the pathogenicity of various SARS‐CoV‐2 variants using two distinct mouse models. Our findings indicated that earlier variants, including WH‐09, Beta, and Delta, exhibited greater pathogenicity than later variants. Specifically, the Omicron variant demonstrated reduced pathogenicity, characterized by a shorter disease course and diminished ...

Research advancements and evaluation of multifactor‐induced murine models for gastric cancer
Murine models for gastric cancer. Abstract As one of the most prevalent gastrointestinal malignancies in humans, gastric cancer (GC) is often detected at an advanced stage, resulting in a poor prognosis and ranking it the fifth leading cause of cancer‐related deaths.

The presence of methicillin-resistant or -susceptible S. aureus in pig nostrils has been known for a long time, but the occurrence of extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL)-producing E. coli has hardly been investigated. Here, we collected 25 E.
