Animal Virus-Host Genome Interactions

1977
Interactions between the viral and host genomes have been studied in numerous systems and in regard to different aspects. In the course of this interaction, viral genetic material often is inserted by covalent linkage into the host chromosome. One consequence of this insertion is the fixation of the viral genome or specific parts of it in the host cell.
