Hemagglutination with transmissible gastroenteritis virus [PDF]
Transmissible gastroenteritis virus grown in primary swine kidney cell cultures agglutinated erythrocytes from chicken, guinea pig and cattle but not erythrocytes from mouse and goose. The optimal incubation temperature was at 4 degrees C. The hemagglutination (HA) reaction was inhibited by specific antiserum.

NEW METHODS FOR THE DETECTION OF VIRUSES INFECTING RUBUS PLANTS – VERIFICATION IN DIAGNOSTIC PRACTICE [NOVÉ METODY DETEKCE VIRŮ INFIKUJÍCÍCH ROSTLINY RODU RUBUS – OVĚŘENÍ V DIAGNOSTICKÉ PRAXI] [PDF]
Viruses infecting plants of the genus Rubus are among the pathogens that can cause significant economic losses to growers. As there is no effective treatment, it is necessary to plant healthy propagation material to prevent their spreading. To test plant

One-way trip: Influenza virus' adaptation to gallinaceous poultry may limit its pandemic potential [PDF]
We hypothesise that some influenza virus adaptations to poultry may explain why the barrier for human-to-human transmission is not easily overcome once the virus has crossed from wild birds to chickens.

Virus Cell-to-Cell Transmission [PDF]
ABSTRACTViral infections spread based on the ability of viruses to overcome multiple barriers and move from cell to cell, tissue to tissue, and person to person and even across species. While there are fundamental differences between these types of transmissions, it has emerged that the ability of viruses to utilize and manipulate cell-cell contact ...
