The changing dynamics of Australian commercial property portfolios

open access: yes, 2005
The dynamics of commercial property portfolio performance in Australia have changed considerably in recent years, with most of these dynamics working in favour of commercial property in an investment portfolio.

Upcycling Keratin‐Based Textile Waste Into High‐Performance Hybrid Fibers Via Tuning the Interfacial Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Keratin recovered from animal‐hair textile waste is fractionated and blended with cellulose to produce continuously spun hybrid fibers. Selecting the high‐molecular‐weight keratin fraction enables 30 wt.% keratin incorporation while maintaining high strength in dry and wet states.

Laminar unsteady flow of a viscoelastic liquid in a flat channel [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences
The generalized Maxwell model is used to handle problems involving the unsteady flow of a viscoelastic liquid in a flat channel under the effect of a constant pressure gradient.

Let property grow the economy

open access: yes, 2016
Property touches the lives of all Australians. As the nation\u27s biggest industry, property creates prosperity, jobs and strong communities. Property is both a major part of the household balance sheet and the Australian economy - and one of the few ...

Acetoacetates Derived From Vegetable Oils: A Platform for Tailor‐Made Vinylogous Urethane Foams

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A renewable vegetable oil is converted into acetoacetate‐functionalized precursors for the preparation of catalyst‐free vinylogous urethane foams. Room‐temperature foaming with n‐pentane generates lightweight cellular materials, while the choice of amine enables control over foam structure and mechanical properties.

An improved computational strategy for vibration-proof structures equipped with nano-enhanced viscoelastic devices

open access: yes
Viscoelastic damping devices are effective in mitigating vibrations experienced by Civil Engineering structures subjected to natural actions, such as earthquakes, wind gusts or ocean waves.

Incompressible limit for the compressible viscoelastic fluids in critical space

open access: yesAdvances in Nonlinear Analysis
In this article, we consider the incompressible limit of global-in-time strong solutions with arbitrary large initial velocity for the compressible viscoelastic fluids in the sense of critical Besov framework. We decouple our compressible system into two

Genetically Programmed Shape‐Morphing of Engineered Living Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Here, bacterial and mammalian engineered living materials (ELMs) are presented, in which living cells direct genetically programmed and enzymatically mediated shape‐morphing. The resulting deformation and shape‐recovery can be actuated in a genetically controlled manner by an ELM incorporating out‐of‐equilibrium counteracting biochemical reactions with
