Microdevices for extensional rheometry of low viscosity elastic liquids : a review
Extensional flows and the underlying stability/instability mechanisms are of extreme relevance to the efficient operation of inkjet printing, coating processes and drug delivery systems, as well as for the generation of micro droplets. The development of

This paper deals with a class of backward stochastic differential equations with Poisson jumps and with random terminal times. We prove the existence and uniqueness result of adapted solution for such a BSDE under the assumption of non-Lipschitzian ...

Global hydrodynamic analysis of the molecular flexibility of galactomannans [PDF]
In the past, intrinsic viscosity and sedimentation velocity analyses have been used separately to assess the conformation and flexibility of guar and locust bean gum galactomannans based on worm-like chain and semi-flexible coil models.

On the viscosity solutions to Trudinger’s equation [PDF]
We study the existence of positive viscosity solutions to Trudinger's equation for cylindrical domains $Ω\times[0, T)$, where $Ω\subset \mathbb{R}^n,\;n\ge 2,$ is a bounded domain, $T>0$ and $2\leq ...

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

A New Viscosity Equation For Bin Aqueous Solutions. [PDF]
An equation for the viscosity of binary aqueous solutions has been derived based on the Power law equation and Erying's absolute rate theory. The concentration dependent equation for viscosities of binary aqueous systems is derived using additive ...

Flow of low viscosity Boger fluids through a microfluidic hyperbolic contraction
In this work we focus on the development of low viscosity Boger fluids and assess their elasticity analyzing the flow through a microfluidic hyperbolic contraction.

YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

Dilute Solution Viscometry Studies on a Therapeutic Mixture of Non-digestible Carbohydrates
Recent work has shown the beneficial effects of a proprietary mixture of three non-digestible carbohydrates: konjac glucomannan, xanthan and alginate and these effects have been linked with a synergistic interaction observable with analytical ...

Viscosities of melts in the Na2O---FeO---Fe2O3---SiO2 system and factors controlling relative viscosities of fully polymerized silicate melts [PDF]
Na2O---B2O3---SiO2 and Na2O-Ga2O3 viscosities decrease in the order aluminosilicate > ferrosilicate, (galliosilicate ?) > borosilicate. Thp electronegativities of the trivalent cations are inversely correlated with the relative viscosities of melts in ...
