Peristalsis of nonconstant viscosity Jeffrey fluid with nanoparticles

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2016
Mixed convective peristaltic activity of variable viscosity nanofluids is addressed. Unlike the conventional consideration of constant viscosity; the viscosity is taken as temperature dependent.

From Shear to Sound: Mechanics–Acoustics Mapping of TPMS Lattices

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) lattices are mapped across mechanical and acoustic performance, revealing that descriptors validated in compression fail under shear. First‐time comparison with trusses included. A transition from porous to resonance‐driven absorption emerges at 25% density.

Second law analysis of laminar flow in a channel filled with saturated porous media: a numerical solution

open access: yesEntropy, 2005
: This paper investigates entropy generation due to forced convection in a porous medium sandwiched between two parallel plates one of them being subjected to a uniform heat flux and the other one insulated.

Viscous Dissipation in One-Dimensional Quantum Liquids

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2017
We develop a theory of viscous dissipation in one-dimensional single-component quantum liquids at low temperatures. Such liquids are characterized by a single viscosity coefficient, the bulk viscosity. We show that for a generic interaction between the constituent particles this viscosity diverges in the zero-temperature limit.

Effect of Thermal Radiation, Chemical Reaction and Viscous Dissipation on MHD Flow

open access: yes, 2018
This study examines the effect of thermal radiation, chemical reaction and viscous dissipation on a magnetohydro- dynamic flow in between a pair of infinite vertical Couette channel walls.

Low moduli elastomers with low viscous dissipation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
A controlled reaction schema for addition curing silicones leads to both significantly lower elastic modulus and lower viscous dissipation than for the chemically identical network prepared by the traditional reaction ...

Designing Polymer Nanocomposites for X‐Ray Shielding: Mechanisms, Architectures, and Scalable Processing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This review highlights advances in lightweight, lead‐free polymer nanocomposites for diagnostic X‐ray shielding. By linking filler chemistry, dispersion, architecture, and photon interaction mechanisms, it establishes structure–performance relationships guiding material design.

Research on Viscous Dissipation Index Assessment of Polymer Materials Using High-Frequency Focused Ultrasound

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Polymer viscoelasticity is crucial for mechanical performance, but conventional low-frequency methods struggle to isolate viscous loss—a key viscosity indicator.

Viscous dissipation in the heat transfer between a rotating cylinder and viscous media under forced convection

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2021
The effects of viscous energy dissipation on the forced convection heat transfer between an unconfined rotating isothermal circular cylinder and surrounding viscous fluids are numerically investigated.
