Generalized boundary dilatation flux on a flexible wall

open access: yesTheoretical and Applied Mechanics Letters, 2022
In this paper, by applying theoretical method to the governing equations of compressible viscous flow, we derive the theoretical formula of the boundary dilatation flux (BDF) on a flexible wall, which generalizes the most recent work of Mao et al.

Structure of laminar flows with oppositely-rotating coaxial layers

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
The article is devoted to the theoretical study of laminar flows with the coaxial layers rotating in opposite directions moving along the pipe. These flows have a wide practical application potential in technologies of mixing multiphase and heterogeneous

Unsteady viscous vortex with flow toward the center [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Scientific Research, 1966
An analysis was made of a strong unsteady vortex that consists of an annular region, in which the flow is tangential and radial and a core region, in which a uniform axial flow is also present. The effects of end-wall boundary layers, if present and important, were assumed to be eliminated by use of suitably rotating end walls.

A Mean-Line Flow Model of Viscous Liquids in a Vortex Pump

open access: yesTASK Quarterly, 2023
The axial, radial and tangential velocity profiles of six fluids were extracted from computational fluid dynamics simulation results at points in a pump chamber 1 mm distant from the blades in a vortex pump at the specific speed of 76. The critical radius was specified in the axial velocity radial profiles to determine the impeller inlet and outlet at ...

YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

Purification and preparation of Marchantia polymorpha Auxin Response Factor 2 for phase separation studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe detailed protocols for the purification and preparation of Marchantia polymorpha Auxin Response Factor 2 (MpARF2). This protein is fused to an MBP solubility tag and an mNG fluorescent tag and is purified from Escherichia coli. The presented procedures make it possible to study MpARF2 assemblies, which could arise from phase separation ...

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Asymptotic Representation of Vorticity and Dissipation Energy in the Flux Problem for the Navier–Stokes Equations in Curved Pipes

open access: yesAxioms
This study explores the problem of describing viscous fluid motion for Navier–Stokes equations in curved channels, which is important in applications like hemodynamics and pipeline transport.

Intermittency of Velocity Circulation in Quantum Turbulence

open access: yesPhysical Review X, 2021
The velocity circulation, a measure of the rotation of a fluid within a closed path, is a fundamental observable in classical and quantum flows. It is indeed a Lagrangian invariant in inviscid classical fluids. In quantum flows, circulation is quantized,

Workflow for Design of Experiments‐Based Modeling of Species Transport and Growth Kinetics in GaN Hydride Vapor Phase Epitaxy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A novel workflow for investigating hydride vapor phase epitaxy for GaN bulk crystal growth is proposed. It combines Design of experiments (DoE) with physical simulations of mass transport and crystal growth kinetics, serving as an intermediate step between DoE and experiments.
