Single-photon counting high-speed detection of x rays is possible by using Medipix2 with pixelated silicon photodiodes. Visible Watermarking for Halftone Images
IEICE Transactions on Fundamentals of Electronics, Communications and Computer Sciences, 2007This letter proposes a visible watermarking scheme for halftone images. It exploits HVS filtering to transform the image in binary domain into continuous-tone domain for watermark embedding. Then a codeword search operation converts the watermarked continuous-tone image into binary domain.

Matching of infrared and visible images
2012 9th International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery, 2012A new matching method based on improved Nonsubsampled contourlet transform (NSCT) is put forward to solve the problem of low matching precision in matching of infrared and visible images. Firstly, improved NSCT is introduced; then, improved NSCT disassembly is done; next, energy at each little region is calculated to compose circumcircle.
