Delay Analysis for Visible Light Communications

In this paper, we derive packet’s waiting time and total delay for Visible light Communications (VLC). Our analysis is valid for Pulse Amplitude Modulation (PAM) in the presence and absence of channel coding. We assume Poisson arriving packets with rate $\lambda$. Each packet has to wait in the queue to be served.
