Rate Maximization for Downlink Multiuser Visible Light Communications
We are interested in optimizing transmit beamforming for a visible light communication multiuser system such that the achievable sum rate is maximized. We first derive a closed-form sum rate expression via information-theoretic tools.

Efficient Channel Coding for Dimmable Visible Light Communications System
Visible light communication (VLC) offers wireless communication within short-range based on wavelength converters and light-emitting diode (LED). In the VLC system, conventional forward error correction (FEC) codes are not guaranteed to provide flicker ...

Ultrathin MXene/EMF composite foams achieve a specific shielding efficiency of 749.6 dB.dB·cm3$\mathrm{dB}\cdot {\mathrm{cm}}^{3}$/g, while the silver‐enhanced MXene/Ag/EMF reaches 81.4 dB shielding effectiveness at just 1.0 mm thickness. Both composites exhibit rapid Joule heating, retain stability up to 250∘C$^\circ{\rm C}$, and withstand 1000 ...

Large‐Area Printed PEDOT:PSS Shielding and Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) on Textiles
An all‐polymer e‐textile frequency selective surface (FSS) can present controlled shielding, presenting a competitive alternative to metal‐based inks. The results show how PEDOT: PSS‐based e‐textiles could be applied in RF devices for future wearable applications.

Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

Additive Manufacturing of Patient‐Specific Intracranial Aneurysm Cell Culture Models
Patient‐specific intracranial aneurysm models were fabricated using chocolate moulding, 3D printed water‐soluble cores, and direct resin 3D printing. Moulding PDMS around sacrificial cores made of chocolate or 3D printed water‐soluble resin yielded accurate, expandable, and endothelializable models that outperformed resin‐based approaches.

Optimisation of transmission bandwidth for indoor cellular OWC system using a dynamic handover decision-making algorithm [PDF]
In this paper, we propose a novel cellular optical wireless communications (COWC) system with four diffused cells. A dynamic handover scheme is proposed to make the link more flexible by the way of adaptive channel allocation in different environments ...
