Visual Analogue Scale Correlates of Musculoskeletal Fatigue
Perceptual and Motor Skills, 2004Visual analogue scale has been shown to reflect subjective feelings but rarely has it been used for musculoskeletal fatigue so in the present study VAS ratings were used to quantify musculoskeletal fatigue. A total of 20 students underwent a fatigue protocol ( M age = 21.3 yr., SD = 1.0).

Visual analogue mood scale scores in healthy young versus older adults
International Psychogeriatrics, 2018Background: The current research sought to characterize current mood state profiles in healthy young versus older adults using 100-point visual analogue mood scales (VAMS), provide within-sample and new sample replication of age-group differences, assess

Visual vertigo analogue scale: An assessment questionnaire for visual vertigo
Journal of Vestibular Research, 2011A common symptom for people with vestibulopathy is dizziness induced by dynamic visual input, known as visual vertigo (VV). The goal of this study is to present a novel method to assess VV, using a nine-item analog scale. The subjects rated the intensity of their dizziness on each item of the Visual Vertigo Analogue Scale (VVAS), which represented a ...

MEASUREMENT OF FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY WITH VISUAL ANALOGUE SCALES
Rheumatology, 1977The value of three visual analogue scales for measuring aspects of functional capacity was assessed in 22 patients with rheumatoid arthritis receiving long-term treatment. A scale in which patients were allowed to choose a function which was a particular problem gave the best results, with more severe initial impairment and greater change with ...

Evaluation of Group Processes Using Visual Analogue Scales
Australian & New Zealand Journal of Psychiatry, 1977Patients in a general hospital psychiatric unit completed Visual Analogue Mood Scales before and after group psychotherapy sessions, and at corresponding times on days without group meetings. Changes in the dispersion of scores between “before” and “after” measurements differed between days with group psychotherapy and days without.

Evaluating the visual experience: visual acuity and the visual analogue scale
Ophthalmic and Physiological Optics, 2003AbstractPurpose: To attempt a comparison of the visual experience [assessed using a visual analogue scale (VAS)] with visual acuity in a group of normally‐sighted adult optometric patients. Methods: A single‐item 100 mm paper VAS was administered to a sequence of 142 normally‐sighted pre‐presbyopic patients.

Cancer-related pain. II. Assessment with visual analogue scales
Pain, 1984As an attempt to develop an assessment methodology which is practical for use with severely ill cancer patients, Visual Analogue Scales (VAS) of pain, depression and anxiety were compared to standard measures of these variables in 29 outpatients and 11 inpatients suffering from cancer-related pain.
