Infrared Small Target Detection Through Multiple Feature Analysis Based on Visual Saliency
Infrared small target detection in extreme environments such as low illumination or complex background with low signal clutter ratio is of crucial significance and counted as a difficult task in infrared search and tracking systems.

Visual clutter in road environments -what it does, and what to do about it [PDF]
Visual clutter in roadscapes, including roadside advertising, is increasing, and there is little research on the effect on driving performance. Research at the Monash University Accident Research Centre investigated the sources and effects of visual ...

Consumer Preferences for Craft Beer: The Interplay of Localness and Advertising Language
ABSTRACT This study explores the influence of the language of the label, origin of production, and origin of brewing ingredients on Croatian consumers' preferences and willingness to pay for organic craft beer. Employing an online survey and a choice experiment among 223 Croatian alcohol consumers, we find that while there's a willingness to pay a ...

Similarity-Driven Edge Bundling: Data-Oriented Clutter Reduction in Graphs Layouts
Graph visualization has been successfully applied in a wide range of problems and applications. Although different approaches are available to create visual representations, most of them suffer from clutter when faced with many nodes and/or edges.

Sequential multicolor fluorescence imaging in dynamic microsystems is constrained by acquisition speed and excitation dose. This study introduces a real‐time framework to reconstruct spectrally separated channels from reduced cross‐channel acquisitions (frames containing mixed spectral contributions).

In Situ Contact Angle Measurement for Autonomous Spin Coating in Self‐Driving Labs
A vision‐based add‐on transforms commercial spin coaters into autonomous modules of Self‐Driving Labs. Combining a width‐scaled U‐Net with classical geometric analysis, the system simultaneously measures contact angles and estimates substrate pose using a single camera.
