Chronic TGF‐β exposure drives epithelial HCC cells from a senescent state to a TGF‐β resistant mesenchymal phenotype. This transition is characterized by the loss of Smad3‐mediated signaling, escape from senescence, enhanced invasiveness and metastatic potential, and upregulation of key resistance modulators such as MARK1 and GRM8, ultimately promoting

Hourglass-AVSR: Down-Up Sampling-based Computational Efficiency Model for Audio-Visual Speech Recognition [PDF]
Recently audio-visual speech recognition (AVSR), which better leverages video modality as additional information to extend automatic speech recognition (ASR), has shown promising results in complex acoustic environments. However, there is still substantial space to improve as complex computation of visual modules and ineffective fusion of audio-visual ...

Dynamics of test particles in the five-dimensional Gödel spacetime [PDF]
We derive the complete set of geodesic equations for massive and massless, charged test particles of a five-dimensional, rotating and charged solution of the Einstein-Maxwell-Chern-Simons field equations in five-dimensional minimal gauged supergravity and present their analytical solutions.

Dual targeting of AKT and mTOR using MK2206 and RAD001 reduces tumor burden in an intracardiac colon cancer circulating tumor cell xenotransplantation model. Analysis of AKT isoform‐specific knockdowns in CTC‐MCC‐41 reveals differentially regulated proteins and phospho‐proteins by liquid chromatography coupled mass spectrometry. Circulating tumor cells

Dynamics of test particles in the five-dimensional, charged, rotating EMCS spacetime [PDF]
We derive the complete set of geodesic equations for massive and massless test particles of a five-dimensional, charged, rotating black hole solution of the Einstein-Maxwell-Chern-Simons field equations in five-dimensional minimal gauged supergravity and present their analytical solutions in terms of Weierstra{\ss}' elliptic functions.

Inhibitor of DNA binding‐1 is a key regulator of cancer cell vasculogenic mimicry
Elevated expression of transcriptional regulator inhibitor of DNA binding 1 (ID1) promoted cancer cell‐mediated vasculogenic mimicry (VM) through regulation of pro‐angiogenic and pro‐cancerous genes (e.g. VE‐cadherin (CDH5), TIE2, MMP9, DKK1). Higher ID1 expression also increased metastases to the lung and the liver.

Clinical utility of cerebrospinal fluid biomarkers measured by LUMIPULSE® system
Abstract Objectives Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease (AD) are well‐established in research settings, but their use in routine clinical practice remains a largely unexploited potential. Here, we examined the relationship between CSF biomarkers, measured by a fully automated immunoassay platform, and brain β‐amyloid (Aβ ...
