CAN DEPLOYMENT OF ATTENTION BE STRATEGICALLY CONTROLLED? [PDF]

open access: yesPsihologija, 2009
The main goal of the experiment was to test whether deployment ofattention could be strategically controlled. Subjects viewed five-letter arrays. Each array included a letter unique in shape (i.e. target).

No Effect of the Right Posterior Parietal Cortex tDCS in Dual-Target Visual Search

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2018
“Subsequent search misses” represent a decrease in accuracy at detecting a second target in a visual search task. In this study, we tested the possibility to modulate this effect via inhibition of the right posterior parietal cortex trough transcranial ...

Visual search of illusory contours: an attempt of automatization [PDF]

open access: yesPsihologija, 2008
Laboratory of Experimental Psychology, University of Belgrade Recent research, which was mostly focused on assessing the types of visual search of illusory contours, showed that visual search is dependent on factors like target configuration and task ...

Refinement and preliminary evaluation of two tablet-based tests of real-world visual function [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
PURPOSE: To describe, refine, evaluate, and provide normative control data for two freely available tablet-based tests of real-world visual function, using a cohort of young, normally-sighted adults.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Priming of Pop-Out Does not Affect the Shooting Line Illusion [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
We combined a shooting-line illusion with a visual search pop-out task in an effort to determine whether priming of pop-out was due to acceleratcd processing of visual information in the primed dimension.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Visual Search against Uncomfortable Noise Patterns

open access: yesi-Perception, 2012
Visual discomfort consists of the adverse effects of viewing certain visual stimuli such as stripes and particular filtered noise patterns. Noise patterns with amplitude spectra differing from those typical of natural images are judged as uncomfortable ...

The Role of Working Memory in Dual-Target Visual Search

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2019
Visual search (VS) for multiple targets is especially error prone. One of these errors is called subsequent search misses (SSM) and represents a decrease in accuracy at detecting a second target after a first target has been found.

BATSE Gamma-Ray Burst Line Search: IV. Line Candidates from the Visual Search

open access: yes, 1995
We evaluate the significance of the line candidates identified by a visual search of burst spectra from BATSE's Spectroscopy Detectors. None of the candidates satisfy our detection criteria: an F-test probability less than 10^-4 for a feature in one ...
