Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Modification of the convexity prior but not the light-from-above prior in visual search with shaded objects

open access: yes, 2007
Studies of visual search performance with shaded stimuli, in which the target is rotated by 180º relative to the distracters, typically demonstrate more efficient performance in stimuli with vertical compared to horizontal shading gradients. In addition,

CAN DEPLOYMENT OF ATTENTION BE STRATEGICALLY CONTROLLED? [PDF]

open access: yesPsihologija, 2009
The main goal of the experiment was to test whether deployment ofattention could be strategically controlled. Subjects viewed five-letter arrays. Each array included a letter unique in shape (i.e. target).

Visual Search against Uncomfortable Noise Patterns

open access: yesi-Perception, 2012
Visual discomfort consists of the adverse effects of viewing certain visual stimuli such as stripes and particular filtered noise patterns. Noise patterns with amplitude spectra differing from those typical of natural images are judged as uncomfortable ...

Parametric search visualization [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 29th annual symposium on Symposuim on computational geometry - SoCG '13, 2013
This video provides a visualization of parametric search using as the underlying application an algorithm for computing a tangent to a level in arrangement proposed by Matousek [2]. The visualization is based on the framework of van~Oostrum and Veltkamp [6], which simplifies considerably the implementation of parametric search algorithms.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Do honeybees detect colour targets using serial or parallel visual search?

open access: yes, 2006
In humans, visual search tasks are commonly used to address the question of how visual attention is allocated in a specific task and how individuals search for a specific object ("target") among other objects ("distractors") that vary in number and ...

Dynamic spatial coding within the dorsal frontoparietal network during a visual search task. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
To what extent are the left and right visual hemifields spatially coded in the dorsal frontoparietal attention network? In many experiments with neglect patients, the left hemisphere shows a contralateral hemifield preference, whereas the right ...

No Effect of the Right Posterior Parietal Cortex tDCS in Dual-Target Visual Search

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2018
“Subsequent search misses” represent a decrease in accuracy at detecting a second target in a visual search task. In this study, we tested the possibility to modulate this effect via inhibition of the right posterior parietal cortex trough transcranial ...
