Visual Secret Sharing Without Pixel Expansion

International Journal of Digital Crime and Forensics, 2015
Visual Secret Sharing (VSS) is a powerful approach for protecting image sharing through unsecured computer network such as the Internet. Pixel expansion and bad image quality are the most common problems of this approach. Visual secret sharing technique is proposed for grayscale images to eliminate pixel expansion problem using image compression.

Improving Quality of Friendly Progressive Visual Secret Sharing using Essential Shares

International Conference on Cryptography, Security and Privacy, 2020
Friendly Progressive Visual Secret Sharing (FPVSS) shares the secret image using meaningful shares to n users such that $k(k \leq n)$ or more than k users can reconstruct the secret image progressively without computations.

Visual multi-secret sharing with friendliness

Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University (Science), 2014
Visual secret sharing (VSS) was used in the literature to encode and decode secret images until visual multi-secret sharing (VMSS) was proposed. Distinctly, multiple secret images can be encoded or decoded at a time in VMSS; however, only one secret image can be done in VSS.

Contrast enhancement of Progressive Visual Secret Sharing (PVSS) scheme for gray-scale and color images using super-resolution

Signal Processing, 2019
Traditional Visual Secret Sharing (VSS) scheme encrypts the secret image into multiple shares. It recovers the secret image based on the “all or nothing” methodology (i.e.

Sharing multiple secrets using visual cryptography

2009 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2009
Visual cryptography provides a very powerful technique by which one secret can be distributed into two or more pieces known as shares. When the shares on transparencies are superimposed exactly together the original secret can be discovered without computer participation. In this paper, we take multiple secrets into consideration, and generate a master

Size-Adjustable Visual Secret Sharing Schemes

IEICE Transactions on Fundamentals of Electronics, Communications and Computer Sciences, 2005
Visual secret sharing (VSS) scheme is a perfect secure method that protects a secret image by breaking it into shadows. Unlike other secret sharing schemes, the VSS scheme can be easily decoded by the human visual sight when staking the shadows. We replace a pixel in the secret image by m sub pixels in the shadow image and the value m is called as ...

An Improved and Secure Visual Secret Sharing (VSS) scheme for Medical Images

International Conference on Communication Systems and Networks, 2019
Nowadays, medical information is being shared over the communication networks due to ease of technology. The patient’s medical information has to be securely communicated over the network for automatic diagnosis.
