Major Cat Allergen Fel d 4: Structure and Identification of a Cross‐Reactive IgE‐Epitope‐Containing Area

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
This study reports the three‐dimensional structure of an important cat allergen, Fel d 4, that shares high homology with Equ c 1 (i.e., major horse allergen) and Can f 6 (i.e., dog allergen). The C‐terminal region of the Fel d 4 contains a major IgE‐reactive epitope.

Novel approaches for drug development against chronic primary pain: A systematic review

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Chronic primary pain (CPP) persisting for more than 3 months, associated with significant emotional distress without any known underlying cause, is an unmet medical need. Traditional or adjuvant analgesics do not provide satisfactory pain relief for a great proportion of these patients.

Biochemical Testing Promotes Interpretation of Variants of Uncertain Significance in Prenatal Genetic Disease Testing in Four Organic Acidurias

open access: yesClinical Genetics, EarlyView.
This review demonstrates how amniotic fluid biochemical testing provides critical phenotypic evidence (ACMG PP4) for reclassifying variants of uncertain significance (VUS) in prenatal organic acidurias. Integrating metabolite analysis with genetic testing enhances diagnostic accuracy and enables informed clinical decisions for affected families ...

Hcfc1 and Ogt Mediate Zebrafish CNS Regeneration Through Hippo/Yap Signalling

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
This work identifies Hcfc1 and Ogt as key regulators of zebrafish CNS regeneration through modulation of Hippo/Yap signalling. Loss of Hcfc1 or Ogt activity inhibition impairs regeneration, which is restored by Yap overexpression, revealing a new regulatory axis that enhances CNS regenerative capacity.

Neurological diagnoses in children potentially fulfilling the criteria for developmental coordination disorder

open access: yesDevelopmental Medicine &Child Neurology, EarlyView.
In children potentially fulfilling the criteria for developmental coordination disorder (DCD), phenotypical assessment does not sufficiently predict the diagnostic outcome (i.e. DCD or an alternative diagnosis). Due to the lack of distinguishing clinical and diagnostic features and the high prevalence of genetic diagnoses in these patients, additional ...
