Domain‐adaptation‐based named entity recognition with information enrichment for equipment fault knowledge graph

open access: yesIET Collaborative Intelligent Manufacturing, Volume 6, Issue 4, December 2024.
Domain‐adaptation‐based named entity recognition with information enrichment is proposed for developing an equipment fault knowledge graph. A question answering application of the equipment fault knowledge graph is proposed. Abstract Numerous files, such as records and logs, are generated in the process of equipment diagnosis and maintenance (D&M ...

Viterbi decoder without carrier recovery

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1996
A novel Viterbi algorithm of low complexity without carrier recovery is proposed. The most important modification is that the decision metric for surviving paths is not the cumulated variable but its amplitude. Simulation results of its application to MDPSK and convolutional code show negligible performance loss.

Comparison between Modified Bahl, Cocke, Jelinek, and Raviv (BCJR) and Soft Output Viterbi Algorithm (SOVA) Decoders Over Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) Channel

open access: yesJournal of Engineering and Sustainable Development, 2007
urbo codes are suitable for deep-space communications, because of the codes astonishing performance at low values of signal to noise ratio (SNR) and their ability to achieve near Shannon limit of channel capacity.

ITERATIVE SOVA DECODING OVER SYMMETRIC ALPHA STABLE CHANNELS [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Engineering Science and Technology, 2012
Soft-Output Viterbi Algorithm (SOVA) is one type of recovery memory-less Markov Chain and is used widely to decode convolutional codes. Fundamentally, conventional SOVA is designed on the basis of Maximum A-Posteriori probability (MAP) under Additive ...

Pipelined Viterbi Decoder Using FPGA

open access: yesResearch Journal of Applied Sciences, Engineering and Technology, 2013
Convolutional encoding is used in almost all digital communication systems to get better gain in BER (Bit Error Rate) and all applications needs high throughput rate. The Viterbi algorithm is the solution in decoding process. The nonlinear and feedback nature of the Viterbi decoder makes its high speed implementation harder. One of promising approaches

A novel low complexity, low latency rate 1/2 FEC code

open access: yese-Prime: Advances in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Energy
In this paper, a relatively simple and low complexity rate 1/2 FEC (Forward Error Correction) code has been proposed. The proposed encoder combines the effect of the low cross correlation of two orthogonal sequences along with the effect of the ...

Viterbi Decoder Plain Sailing Design for TCM Decoders

open access: yes, 2019
Convolutional codes are error correction technique used in noisy channels. Viterbi Algorithm is the most widely used decoding Algorithm, which decodes the sequence in a maximum likelihood sense. But the complexity of the Viterbi decoder increases with the coding rate of the system.
