Investigating Microinvasive Intra‐Ocular Biopsy
ABSTRACT Background Current minimally invasive methods of intraocular biopsy are confined to small gauge (G) needles and subretinal cannulae that can be prone to wound leakage at the biopsy site. We investigate the role of microneedles with internal diameters as small as 49G for intraocular biopsy in the posterior and anterior segments.

Promoter hypermethylation of the RHEB gene is identified as a specific biomarker for Primary Central Nervous System Lymphoma (PCNSL). This study develops methylation‐specific primers, demonstrating their power to distinguish PCNSL from other CNS diseases via a novel plasma‐based detection method.

How we diagnose and treat vitreoretinal lymphoma [PDF]
The eye is a rare site for the development of malignant lymphoma. Based on cell type and involved intraocular structures, which as a whole represent an immune-privileged site, several subtypes of primary intraocular lymphoma need to be discerned. Primary

In a nationwide cohort study, 873 patients with mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) were followed for a median of 7 years. During follow‐up, 28 patients developed secondary central nervous system (CNS) lymphoma (SCNSL) with a 5‐year cumulative incidence of 2.8% (95% confidence interval [CI] 1.7–3.9).

Primary Vitreoretinal Lymphoma Presenting as a Posterior Capsule Plaque
Primary vitreoretinal lymphoma (PVRL) can be a diagnostic challenge and commonly presents as a partially steroid-responsive vitritis or as subretinal cream-colored infiltrates.
