Influences of Alkaline-Earth Metal Oxides on the Properties of Vitrified Bond
Key Engineering Materials, 2008Alkaline-earth metal oxides (MgO, CaO, SrO and BaO) were introduced to Na2O-B2O3-Al2O3- SiO2 vitrified bond, and their effects on the properties of the vitrified bond were investigated through the measurements of refractoriness, fluidity and bending strength.

Temperatures and wear mechanisms in dressing of vitrified bonded grinding wheels
International Journal of Machine Tools and Manufacture, 2010Abstract For the first time dressing temperatures were measured directly in the contact zone of grinding and diamond dressing tool. With average temperatures of 400 °C and maximum temperatures of 810 °C without cooling lubricant, the need to cool the dressing tool sufficiently is affirmed.

Experiment Study on Vitrified Bonded Wheels of Quick-Point Grinding
Advanced Materials Research, 2008In this paper, grinding performance and Manufacturing process of vitrified CBN wheel were described for Quick-point grinding at 200m/s. In order to insure security rotation of wheel, wheel core was optimized at 200m/s based on ANSYS software. Four kinds of domestic abrasives were tested for their compressive strength, impact toughness, microcosmic ...
