Multiscale Coupling From Mastication to Retronasal Aroma Perception: The PG‐DTCFN Model and Multiphysics Simulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Using grilled lamb skewers as a model system, this work builds a multiscale coupling framework from oral processing to retronasal aroma perception, reveals dual‐kinetic release patterns and Electroencephalogram‐characterized central encoding features, and proposes an interpretable physics‐guided deep learning model validated by multiphysics simulation,

"I don't know" use and guessing on the bilingual Japanese vocabulary size test: A preliminary report

open access: yesVocabulary Learning and Instruction, 2015
This preliminary report outlines an investigation into ”I don’t know” use and guessing on the 14,000-word family, 140-item bilingual Japanese Vocabulary Size Test (VST) translated by Sasao and Nakata from the original monolingual English version.

ESTIMATING STUDENTS' VOCABULARY KNOWLEDGE BY USING VOCABULARY SIZE TEST

open access: yes, 2017
Abstract Assessing vocabulary is a crucial issue among the linguists, how many words are needed to understand a spoken or written English text. This paper describes the use of Vocabulary Size Test (VST) – a test to measures written receptive vocabulary size to estimate students’ vocabulary knowledge.

CLRe: A Synergistic Dual‐Engine Framework for One‐Step Retrosynthesis Prediction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CLRe uses a contrastive difficulty score to order pretrained seq2seq fine‐tuning for retrosynthesis. Reaction embeddings define the ranking score, and a cumulative easy‐to‐hard schedule expands from the easiest subset to the full training set while earlier examples remain active.

VOCABULARY SIZE AT FOUR STAGES OF LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT

open access: yesEuropean Journal of English Language Teaching, 2020
One of the main aims of language learning is developing communicative competence, or the ability to communicate effectively in everyday situations. In order to achieve that, besides grammar knowledge, learners need to acquire enough vocabulary knowledge that would enable them to use the language outside the classroom, which requires acquiring ...

CoSP: Reconfigurable Metamaterial Inverse Design via Contrastive Pretrained Large Language Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this work, CoSP (contrastive multi‐state pretrain), an intelligent inverse design method for reconfigurable metamaterials based on a contrastive pretrained large language model, is proposed. Numerical experiments demonstrate that CoSP can design reconfigurable metamaterial structures for multi‐state, multi‐band optical responses, showing great ...

Ion‐Gating Reservoir Computing for Preprocessing‐Free Speech Recognition from Throat Vibrations

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents a throat‐mounted mechanoelectric sensor integrated with an ion‐gel/graphene reservoir device for on‐device speech recognition. The system converts raw biomechanical vibrations into rich nonlinear current dynamics, enabling efficient classification through a simple linear readout. The approach highlights a compact and tunable physical‐
