Analysis of ozone and VOCs measured in Shanghai: A case study

Atmospheric Environment, 2007
Abstract Shanghai Meteorological Administration has established a volatile organic compounds (VOCs) laboratory and an observational network for VOCs and ozone (O3) measurements in the city of Shanghai. In this study, the measured VOCs and O3 concentrations from 15 November (15-Nov) to 26 November (26-Nov) of 2005 in Shanghai show that there are ...

VOCs Recovery Energy-Saving Efficiency Decision and Case Study

Advanced Materials Research, 2013
Promote VOCs (volatile organic chemicals) and re-use recovered oil as secondary energy can reduce environmental pollution meantime bring lots of energy-saving and socioeconomic benefits. Related data shows that install VOCs recovery unit (VRU) can produce large quantity of energy-saving efficiency.

On Pragmatics-syntax Interface: The Case of Vocative Nominals in Jordanian Arabic

Jordan Journal of Modern Languages and Literatures, 2022
This paper starts with exploring the internal syntactic structure of the vocative nominals in regional Jordanian Arabic sub-varieties. It shows that a vocative nominal can be either a full DP or a bare NP in the target three Jordanian sub-varieties, namely, Rural (RJA), Urban (UJA) and Bedouin (BJA) Jordanian Arabic.

Case history: Catalytic system abates VOCs and NOx

Environmental Progress, 2002
AbstractThe standard technologies of Catalytic Oxidation and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) are uniquely applied in a hybrid catalytic system that simultaneously destroys Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx) to fit the special circumstances of an extruded plastic foam manufacturing application.VOCs and NOx a re byproducts

Translating the expressive function in subtitles: The case of vocatives

2005
This paper aims to discuss the translation of some instances of emotive language in subtitles. On the basis of the relevant literature (Kovačič 1996; Hatim & Mason 2000) it is assumed that elements that contribute to the conative, emotive and phatic function are generally reduced or even elided in subtitles, due to rigid space and time constraints ...

Framework for Evaluating the “Greenness” of Chemical Processes:  Case Studies for a Novel VOC Recovery Technology

Environmental Science & Technology, 2004
A system of metrics is proposed for a rough-guide evaluation of the greenness of new and existing chemical technologies as well as for the analysis of flow sheets of new processes. The proposed methodology is based on a hierarchical approach. The main feature of the proposed system is the reflection of the stakeholder relevance of various aspects of ...
