Estimation curvature in PLIC-VOF method for interface advection
Heat and Mass Transfer, 2019Heat and mass transfers’ equations of hydrocarbon liquid droplet are solved numerically by using a semi-implicit method based on the finite volume scheme (VOF). The Piece-wise Linear Interface Calculation (PLIC) is used in our modeling. A curvature estimation technique based on PLIC-VOF method is developed.

Numerical Simulation of Extreme Wave Generation Using VOF Method
Journal of Hydrodynamics, 2010Numerical simulations of extreme wave generation are carried out by using the Volume Of Fluid (VOF) method. Extreme waves are generated based on wave focusing in a 2-D numerical model. To validate the capability of the VOF-based model described in this article, the propagation of regular waves is computed and compared with the theoretical results.

Numerical Simulation of Droplet Ejection Based on VOF Method
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014Taking ejection process of the ink droplets from ink-jet nozzle as the prototype, a similar numerical model of droplet ejection was established. The VOF method was applied to track the interface of droplet ejection process and it is shown that the numerical results simulated by the VOF method were accurate and reliable.
