Composição química dos componentes voláteis de Capsicodendron dinisii Schwancke (Canellaceae) Chemical composition of volatile components of Capsicodendron dinisii Schwancke (Canellaceae)

open access: yesQuímica Nova, 2010
The volatile components of the stem bark of Capsicodendron dinisii were obtained by hydrodistillation using a modified Clevenger-type apparatus. The chemical compounds were identified using the arithmetic index and confirmed by GC-MS.

Selective Benzene Capture by Metal‐Organic Frameworks

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) hold significant potential for capturing benzene from air emissions and hydrocarbon mixtures in liquid phases. This capability stems from their precisely engineered structures, versatile chemistries, and diverse binding interactions.

Analysis of Volatile Flavor Substances in Different Leaf Positions of Mulberry Leaves Using HS-SPME-GC-MS Combined with GC-O

open access: yesShipin gongye ke-ji
To investigate the distribution of the 'grassy flavor' in mulberry leaves, the study focused on the 'Guangdong Mulberry No.11' cultivar, which was widely grown in the southern region of China. Analyzing the volatile components of different leaf positions

Effect of freeze storage on the volátiles of butter

open access: yesGrasas y Aceites, 1995
The changes in the volatile components of three butter samples during freeze storage for 7.5 months were studied. The storage had a significant effect on the carbonyl and lactone components analyzed.

Flexibility and Dynamicity Enhances and Controls Supramolecular Self‐Assembly of Zinc(II) Metallogels

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Zinc(II) coordination complexes with tunable aryloxy‐imine ligands exhibit controllable supramolecular self‐assembly into hierarchical fibrous structures. Coordination‐driven stacking, not π–π interactions, enables gelation, dynamic assembly/disassembly, and enhanced nanomechanical properties.

Core measures of inflation as predictors of total inflation [PDF]

open access: yes
Two rationales offered for policymakers' focus on core measures of inflation as a guide to underlying inflation are that core inflation omits food and energy prices, which are thought to be more volatile than other components, and that core inflation is ...

Changes in flavour and texture during the ripening of strawberries [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The amount of total volatile compounds, total acidity, total sugar content (degrees Brix) and fruit firmness were used to characterize the degree of ripeness of three strawberry varieties (Carezza, Darselect and Marmolada).

Volatile Components in Polypropylene Containers

open access: yesFood Hygiene and Safety Science (Shokuhin Eiseigaku Zasshi), 1981
The volatile components in 22 samples of commercial polypropylene (PP) containers were identified and determined by gas chromatography, with due consideration of solvent residues. The volatile compounds from PP resins could be classified largely into two groups. One was saturated C6 hydrocarbons (detected in 6 samples), and the other was saturated C7 ...

Tuning the Dielectric Properties of Individual Clay Nanosheets by Interlayer Composition: Toward Nano‐Electret Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The dielectric properties of clays are studied on the level of individual monolayers and functional double stacks. The material breakdown characteristics and charge storage performance are analyzed. For illustration, a defined charge pattern representing a cuneiform character is produced, written into a microscopic clay tile, referencing the origins of
