THE VOLATILITY OF WORLD CRUDE OIL PRICES

The role of oil in an economy is very crucial. This article measures the world oil price uncer-tainty based on conditional standard deviations. It focuses on the volatility of crude oil price in United Kingdom, Texas, and Dubai markets, from January, 1980 to May, 2010. It finds the evidence that asymmetric leverage effects are not found.

Abstract Although thermally coupled distillation (TCD) exhibits strong energy efficiency, the possibility of utility cost savings remains debatable. TCD designs that do not consider vapor transport can underestimate costs, making section rearrangement crucial to find more operable configurations.

Imino‐Pyrrole Zn(II) Complexes for the Rapid and Selective Chemical Recycling of Commodity Polymers

Three imino‐pyrrole zinc (II) catalysts were prepared and applied to the chemical recycling of PLA, PET, and BPA‐PC. Rapid PLA degradation was accomplished in solution and under solvent‐free conditions, the latter giving full conversion at relatively mild temperatures after 11 min.
